Import BIM model measurements

Stop measuring by hand what's already drawn. Import a BIM model in IFC format and VisualOrc gets the quantities of every construction element directly from the model — footings, beams, columns, slabs, walls, roofs, windows, doors, stairs, railings, finishes and installations — organized into items and chapters, ready to use in the estimate.

Quantities are read from the quantity sets recorded in the IFC file itself. When the model doesn't include them, VisualOrc calculates them from the elements' geometry. Each element is grouped into an item according to its type, material and thickness or section, and is recorded as a measurement line of that item — editable and identifiable at any time, like any other measurement.

View the 3D model directly in VisualOrc, with no need for another application to confirm what you're measuring.

The project changes, the model is updated, and the estimate keeps up. Re-import the new version of the IFC file and VisualOrc immediately shows a report with the differences: which quantities changed, which items are new, and which items no longer exist in the model — before you decide to update the estimate.
