Properties and Printing
Check the estimate's main indicators — costs by resource type, overall and average margin, total items — without calculating them item by item.
Under Estimate > Properties, check the total direct costs, the estimate total, the overall margin and the average margin, the number of lines and prices in the estimate, and the cost breakdown by materials, labor, workers, subcontractors, equipment and direct prices.
Printing
Control the format, page setup and content of each estimate printout, adjusting it to your needs.
Header
At the top of the first page, VisualOrc automatically prints the project data defined under Estimate > Properties: company, project, project site, client, reference and date.
Beyond this data, turn on "Header Notes" to write additional text, printed only on the first page. Under "Edit", access the company's header template saved in the Database; under "Import", replace this estimate's text with that template — the operation overwrites whatever's already written, so VisualOrc asks for confirmation before continuing.
Print Options
Choose the print format: "Sale List" (the full list, with prices), "Itemized Items" (each item with its detailed price composition), "Item Descriptions" (just the items' text, with no prices) or "Quantity Map".
In the Sale List, also choose whether to print the chapter values, the estimate total, and VAT, specifying the rate to apply; or turn on "Print Summary" to include the estimate summary instead of the header note. Use the preview to check the result before deciding whether to send it to the printer or create a PDF file directly.
Footer
Turn on "Footer Notes" to write a final piece of text, printed once at the end of the list. Unlike the project data, the footer has no automatic fields — it's just the text you write. As with the header, you can import the footer template saved in the Database via the "Import" button, replacing this estimate's text.
Page Setup
Choose the printer and paper size from the available lists, and the page orientation, Portrait or Landscape.
Logo
Turn on "Print logo" and position it to the left, center or right of the page. Adjust its scale with the slider, and the top margin, in millimeters, to control the space reserved above the logo. These values can be saved for this specific estimate, or follow the company's general default.
