Controlled Purchases
Project purchasing management can be planned and managed by VisualOrc. Recording market consultations, preparing comparative maps, comparing suppliers' prices with estimated values, automatically issuing purchase orders and subcontract contracts and preparing measurement records for subcontractors are several of the purchasing system's functionalities. The organization and management of the work are thus significantly facilitated. Using integrated planning, it is even possible to plan purchases to be made throughout the project, assigning deadlines for consultations and awards and thus maintaining a system of guaranteeing deadlines.
Suppliers
Keep a single database of suppliers and subcontractors, organized by specialty and by district, with a history of responses to price requests. It makes it easy to choose which companies to consult in each comparative map, and can be imported all at once from an Excel file.
Controlled Costs
From purchases, cost control is carried out by recording suppliers' invoicing, thus obtaining comparative and control information on the estimated value, the awarded value and the actually invoiced value. Checking invoices from suppliers and subcontractors is thus greatly facilitated. At all times you will have information about all the credits and debts of the work.
Measurement Records
Preparing measurement records with VisualOrc is a very simple task. Simply indicate, on each record and for each item, the desired quantity or percentage. Without ever losing the necessary flexibility, the application immediately provides all information relating to measurement records, balance maps, invoiced and unbilled quantities, in value and percentage.
Manage Changes and Extra Work
The application allows the creation of additional jobs and their control and management, all in an integrated way. The estimate for each additional job is made based on the estimate prices, or by creating new prices, with the same level of functionality as the estimate. Each additional job will have associated the respective measurement record system, considerably simplifying the financial management of the project. No matter how complex the project changes and the number of additional work proposals presented, and their revisions, VisualOrc manages them in an integrated way in a simple and effective way.
Site Planning
The work schedule can be created automatically from the estimate and the project deadline, and compared at any time with the measurement records to see whether the project is behind or ahead of schedule. A schedule created outside VisualOrc, for example in MS Project, can be imported and tracked month by month, with the executed value and cumulative curves.
Price Revision
In the Plus version, the contract's price revision is calculated directly in VisualOrc, in accordance with Decree-Law 6/2004, as amended by Decree-Law 73/2021, with IMPIC indices downloaded automatically, revision of measurement records and extra work, and the revision statement ready to deliver.
Notebook
In the Plus version, record your project notes in a dedicated notebook, organized by subject, with images, reminders and PDF printing — all saved within the estimate itself.
